When Batofar (Paris), the lighthouse boat moored on the River Seine in Paris first opened its hull in 1999, no one thought that this exciting new alternative venue would last for ten years! But they have and are still going strong. This month they celebrate a decade of amazing live shows, decadent parties and original annex projects. Over the month of February guests include Gilles Peterson (5th), Monolake (13th), Bonobo (14th), Plaid (19th) and Zombie Nation (20th).

Zombie Nation, hailing from Munich in Germany became a household name on the nu-rave and electro scene when they co wrote the club hit ‘Lower State of Consciousness’ with Tiga. This catchy yet quite experimental tune has quite the opposite effect of Josh Winks’s ‘Higher state..’ but it works. The pace increases with funky techno and electro mixed by the young DJ from the south of France Strip Steve, who has fast become one of Berlin’s Boys Noize protégés.
