A winning formula: Science Club+Awdio=great music online

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Hidden away behind heavy doors with etched glass windows, Science Club in Washington DC has become the place to be for Washington’s ‘in’ crowd. The name does raise eyebrows but rumor has it that the owners all carried high school science club cards, and as the press keeps telling us that nerds are now the essence of cool, they’re on the right track. Sounds range from experimental jazz and rare groove with the Brown Rice Collective on Tuesday nights, global electronica with V:Shal Kanwar on Wednesdays, Dancehall and reggae on Thursdays with DJ Cultcha and underground club and house sounds on Fridays and Saturdays. Take part in the musical experiments live from Science Club on Awdio.com
