We’re sorry to announce that Third Class, Melbourne will be closed for ever as from January Ist with their last party being held on New Year’s Eve. They’ve established themselves as a haven for the nu-rave generation with the manifesto of not being just a club but a lifestyle choice! Here at Awdio we’ve been enjoying the bass-heavy, full on sounds mixed by their resident DJs Megawuoti, Jean-Pierre and Cheapdate broadcast live from the venue every weekend. The good news is that although Third Class is physically closing, the concept will be transferred to a new home, so watch this space and enjoy the final parties from this social sanctuary of weekend madness.

Colette, local Chicago lady started out her musical career by freestyle singing over her friends records. She now spins and sings regularly at Smartbar and has released several records with the likes of Derrick Carter and Mark Farina. She has moved on since her regular event ‘’Superjane’ an all female DJ event co-organised with other Smartbar resident, DJ Heather, with soundtracks for Sex in the City The Movie, The Devil Only Wears Prada..as well as being chosen to feature in the Motorola commercial. Tonight her and friends will be celebrating in style.

The bass-line for Third Class in Melbourne is intriguing and either you get it and you’re in or you just don’t belong: ‘Third Class isn’t just a club it’s a lifestyle choice, It’s a sanctuary a place of worship for the nu rave generation. Wow, what are we letting ourselves in for?
All we could fathom so far is that they sell ‘Rave Juice’ at the bar, they play underground sounds ranging from electro to dub and the members of the Third Class sect arrive on Thursday night and don’t leave ‘til Sunday morning…

Craig Morrison and Graeme Reede form Silicone Soul, the much-loved DJ and production duo signed to Glasgow’s Soma label. They have held residencies at La Terrazza (Barcelona), Circo Loco (DC10 Ibiza), The Arches and the Sub Club in hometown Glasgow and now the legendary Café d’Anvers in Antwerp.
