Going underground

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Ever wondered where Barcelona’s underground music scene was hiding? Well, look no further as Awdio will be bringing you a venue that specializes in the sounds you don’t get to hear elsewhere, Xpressing Underground. This club/bar in the centre of the city dedicates each night of the week to a specific sound, with local DJs exploring each genre into its depth. They have a definite penchant for reggae, ragga and dancehall as it is featured on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Dub and dubstep take over every Tuesday night and Drum n’ Bass takes president on Fridays. To go on a totally different tip, Sundays are sacred especially if you’re into Psytrance! Tune in to Xpressing Underground live on Awdio.com.

soul stereo

After a month away from its usual parking spot on the river Seine, Paris’ lighthouse boat ‘Le Batofar’ is back in tip-top shape for many more years of quality concerts and club events. What could be a better way to start the month than with their resident Tuesday night event ‘Ram di Boat’ hosted by the local collective Soul Stereo System. This crew are passionate about what they do, and their love of reggae and dancehall puts life into even the stiffest of corpses. Reeko, Tarzan and FattA get dat bot a ramin!
