Awdio will be presenting its latest AwdioBox at this year’s Mixmove in Paris on the 14th-16th March. Mixmove is the DJ and clubbing section of the nightclub tradefair, Discom. Mixmove has become the meeting place for those involved in nightlife in any way: club owners, DJs, music producers etc. It’s also where France’s annual DMC competition is taking place. This Friday (26th February) the legendary New York based DJ Danny Krivit will be spinning at Paris’ Djoon Club and live to the world on Awdio.com. He became a DJ in 1971 and has been on the New York club scene in the right place at the right time over the past 30 years. He has spun at clubs such as The Roxy, Mars, Choice, Palladium, Sound Factory and The Warehouse with a record collection of over 80 000! Marseilles’ Japanese canteen and underground club, La Dame Noir celebrates its Ist anniversary this Saturday in French flamboyant style. They promise risky vodka shots, forbidden fruit cocktails (!?!), plenty of champagne, staff you want to go shack up with and fresh graphics. Literally called the ‘salty kiss’ Le Baiser Salé live music club in Paris was opened in 1983 by the Gibson’s brothers (three French Caribbean brothers) all musicians in their own right. Now Maria Rodriguez is at the head of programming at this unique jazz club on the famous rue des Lombards.
