Actually JustABand are more of an electro duo than a band, but hey it’s a catchy name. Tom deluxx and StellA hail from the Bordeaux in France, better known its fine wine than its music, this city in the South of France is starting to export more than grand crus (Strip Steve, Adam Kesher). JustAband est en fait un duo électro plus qu’un groupe (Band en Anglais) mais c’est vrai que c’est un nom sympa. Tom Deluxx et StellA nous arrivent de Bordeaux où on nous avait plutôt habituer à produire de grands crus que des talents musicaux comme Strip Steve et autres Adam Kesher. JustABand est le petit dernier sur le devant de la scène mais ils commencent à faire des émules en créant un son qui s’inscrit parfaitement dans la tendance du moment de la « Nu » French Touch.
Si on vous dit gros synthés, ligne de basse saturée et quelques balbutiements en Anglais made in France… Leurs remixes sont aussi très appréciés et celui qu’ils vont produire pour le groupe dance Britannique branché La Roux ne les fera plus passer inaperçus. Colette, local Chicago lady started out her musical career by freestyle singing over her friends records. She now spins and sings regularly at Smartbar and has released several records with the likes of Derrick Carter and Mark Farina. She has moved on since her regular event ‘’Superjane’ an all female DJ event co-organised with other Smartbar resident, DJ Heather, with soundtracks for Sex in the City The Movie, The Devil Only Wears Prada..as well as being chosen to feature in the Motorola commercial.
