Once upon a time, there was a lovely blonde coiffed with a rockhawk and dressed like a vintage princess. She lived in the enchanted land of neo-vintage pop singing songs and skipping pebbles. Then, came along ‘Sally Luka’, the loveliest ukulele in all the land and they became friends instantly. Together they make beautiful music and mesmerizing lo-fi folk-pop melodies. As “Uni & her Ukelele”, they’ve opened for the likes of James Brown, Huey Lewis, Kid’s in the Hall’s Scott Thompson, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, Tower of Power, Coco Taylor, Sean Hayes, and Jollie Holland. Hungry for Sophie

Sophie Hunger was not born craving for music, far from it actually. The 26-year-old diplomat’s daughter only started taking a real interest in music at 19 and wrote her first song at 23. By then, she’d already led an artistic life hoping from London to Bonn to Zurich, which undoubtedly influenced her sound. Her unusual voice declines itself in various languages, mainly English, but also German and French. The result is good old Folk music that sounds like Tori Amos and Cat Power according to critics. As from Thursday (5th March) everyone who’s anyone in Paris will have found out where the new temporary ultra hush-hush venue called ‘Le Popup’ is, and will have found a way to be present at the opening night. Le Popup is a concept put together by the group behind ‘La Baron’ and ‘Le Paris Paris’ called La Clique with the famous graffiti artist in a top hat André, at the helm. Sponsored by vitiminwater, they promise concerts, dj sets, films and workshops from Wednesdays to Saturdays up until 30th April. The program of events is kept top-secret right up to the last minute with a multitude of celebrities and stars set to grace the stage.
