The Cookies club in Berlin is broadening its horizons this August with a series of new summer parties every Saturday night. If you’re heading to Europe’s electronic music mecca be sure leave some space for dessert and head down to this friendly laid back club to sample the delights of various house music labels. This Saturday (July 31st) Aus Music showcases Will Saul and Lee Jones, next Saturday (7th August) White Records is in the house with Oskar Offerman and Oscar Johannes Albert, The 14th is some Chicago house sweetness with Jerome Sydenham and Tony Lionni and finally on the 21st its nu disco time with Tensnake and Idjut Boys. To celebrate 15 years of delicious sounds, the Berlin  based restaurant and club, Cookies, have released a compilation called ‘Our Dancing Memories’. The Cd features 16 tracks played at the club between 1994 and 2009. It’s available at selected stores in Berlin as from today so this is hot property! In the meantime Awdio addicts can here what’s happening at Cookies stremed live on most nights of the week with local and international DJs spinning the best of house, minimal, electro and rock.

Before you yawn and say ‘here we go, Berlin style electro and kraut rock, boring..’ think again! This is Berlin Mighty Mighty style. Ten days of the most bizarre and farfetched bands and performances from the Europe’s music capital. Starting on the 18th Feb, Wellington’s most off centre bar will be hosting ten days of crazy German talent. From their Neue Deutsche evening to the Der Knutschfleck electro-rave, ‘Mighty Mighty vill be truly vunderbar dis veek!’

Amsterdam is going crazy this weekend, what with the Amsterdam Dance Event taking over the whole city. Jimmy Woo have booked some top names over the next couple of days with the British duo Audio Bullys mixing there on Thursday night. The remix of Nancy Sinatra’s ‘Bang Bang’ became a club hit a couple of years back bringing these bullies worldwide recognition.
