On September 19th Paris will be going dance music crazy as the annual ‘Techno Parade’ takes to the streets with floats and sound systems providing banging beats all afternoon featuring the likes of David Guetta, Chris Lake, Joachim Garraud and Arnaud Rebotini. Thousands of young revelers put on their most colorful clothes, their most comfortable dancing shoes, whistles and pack packs full of provisions and dance the day away. It was at the Parade of 2007 that the Techtonik movement took the city by storm proving that a new generation was taking an interest in dance music with a whole new set of moves. Read more

The Awdio blog team wanted to get a little bit more lo-down on the Freak n Chic resident nights at the Batofar, so we met up with label founder Dan Ghenacia and asked him a few questions. A very interesting interview, that led to getting a little insight on his feelings at the moment with the label, plans he has in store for his fans, his hopes for the future (we even got a scoop about his future residency at the Showcase and new artists joining the label family!). This new event called Giant Step for French Hip Hop, based on the New York style of nights where they showcase artists and put an emphasis on free-style will be taking over the Paris venue Batofar tonight (Wed 10th June). This premiere invites hip-hop heavy weight LaPropagand, a rising female star from the outskirts of Paris, Dmô and new talent Laudy who combines both English and French lyrics.
