Arnaud Rebotini on music, machines and componants

French producer under many guises, Arnaud Rebotini, Zend Avesta and Black Strobe, has recently released a new album called Music Components on Citizen Records. This time he uses his real name to sign a project using his collection of early synthesizers and drum machines to produce an album of very Detroit inspired techno. He has been taking this new project to clubs for an improvised live performance of man and machines for a truly dynamic dance-floor experience. The next performance will be taking place for the annual ‘Fete de la Musique’ party at Batofar, Paris and will be streamed live on Awdio.com. Robert Hood - Minimal to the core

Tonight (Thursday 18th June) Robert Hood will be in Barcelona (Nitsa) during Sonar to re-launch his M-Plant label and to promote the re-release of the album ‘Minimal Nation’. Fans in the UK and Robert Hood himself were pretty disappointed as he was forced to miss his London show last weekend due to flight problems (the worst he’s experienced in 20 years!) Meet Luc Donnard from L’Escalier (St Malo, France)

L’Escalier has become the place to go clubbing in the seaside town of St Malo in Brittany, France. The resident DJs mix the latest house and electro to a mixed and enthusiastic crowd, with international and local guests as a regular feature. Meet Electric Lane from The Villa (Oslo)

Jennifer McConachie, aka DJ Electric Lane is actually from Scotland where she trained as a classical composer. She became a resident drum n’bass DJ at Fabric (London), moved to Berlin and then relocated to Oslo where she now lives and is the co-booker at The Villa. She ensures that the club invites top notch DJs and producers across the more underground genres of electronic music and she also spins at Villa once a month. Read the interview:

Meet Cedric Claes from Café d’Anvers (Antwerp)

Cedric Claes has been the general manager of Café d’Anvers in Antwerp (Belgium) since 2001. The club is located in a 16th century church in Antwerp’s Red Light District and has become a temple for electronic music not only in Antwerp but throughout Belgium.
