Basement Jaxx ‘Scars’ Tour

British dance music duo Basement Jaxx have become household names since their first album Remedy was released in 1999 featuring the absolutely massive dance anthems ‘Red Alert’ and Jump n’ Shout’, bringing ragga style vocals to house music. Ten years on they have released their 5th album Scars bringing together a whole host of different artists including Yoko Ono, Santigold, Yo! Majesty and Kellis under one bizarre album covered CD. Should we be asking where their heads ‘re at? Expect the bouncy bass lines and unlikely genre blending that they are known for, but this by no means a dance album. Scars is a very mixed bag of catchy songs, some experimental stuff and surprising vocal work. Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliff (aka Basement Jaxx) will be stopping at Paris’ Showcase venue to promote their new album as part of their European tour.
