On Wednesday 16th Dec, the ‘listening lounge’ Sonotheque in Chicago celebrates six years of adventurous and cutting edge music. The venue started out as a listening lounge for music that most local clubs shied away from, then expanding into a VIP free zone where music comes first and foremost. What better way to celebrate than with the owner Joe Bryl’s flagship event Rebirth which goes deep into the exploration of soulful house, nu jazz, broken beat, Brazilian funk, Afro Beat, Hip Hop and much, much more. The first 200 who can make it down will receive a complimentary CD, the rest of us will be able to enjoy the party with guest DJ Eric Williams, from a distance.
